Child Protection Policy
This policy provides outlines Jabiru Community College’s written processes about how the school will respond to harm, or allegations or harm, to students under 18 years old, and the appropriate conduct of the school’s staff and students.

Child Risk Management Strategy
This document outlines the strategies to eliminate and minimise risk to young people’s safety at the college to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students.
Privacy Policy
Jabiru Community College is bound by the Australian Privacy Principles contained in the Commonwealth Privacy Act. This statement outlines the privacy policy of the school and describes how the school uses and manages personal information provided to or collected by it.
Visitors and Visiting Procedure
JCC wants to be an open learning community, with strong and meaningful connections to young people’s families and communities.
The purpose of this procedure is to create transparency about the needs of the college in relation to working with visitors and the steps staff take when visitors arrive unexpectedly.
Complaints Handling Policy
This policy outlines ways to make complaints and how the college will respond to complaints.
Staff Code of Conduct
The Code places an obligation on all staff members to take responsibility for their own conduct and to work with colleagues cooperatively to achieve a consultative and collaborative workplace where people are happy and proud to work.

This policy outlines how individuals can make disclosures (reports) about corrupt, illegal conduct appropriately, and how Jabiru Community College (JCC) will protect the identity of those individuals and ensure they are protected from detrimental consequences.
Workplace Bullying Policy
The purpose of this policy is to protect workers and others from workplace bullying.
Disability Discrimination Policy
The purpose of this policy is to protect students with a disability or students
who have an associate with a disability from unlawful discrimination,
harassment and victimisation on the basis of that disability.
Emergency and Critical Incident Management Plan
The primary objectives of this plan are to provide helpful guidelines to enable staff of Jabiru Community College to enact their Duty of Care to students and each other, during critical incidents and emergencies.
Workplace Health and Safety Policy
The purpose of this policy is to outline Jabiru Community College compliance framework for work health and safety, including the definition of key terms, roles and duties and the implementation and monitoring of measures to ensure, as far as reasonably practicable, the health and safety of workers and all other persons at the school.
Anti-Discrimination Policy
Jabiru Community College is committed to protecting students and employees from unlawful discrimination and to responding appropriately should such discrimination occur.
Smoking, Vaping, Banned Items and Substances Policy
The purpose of this policy is to outline how the school manages students’ use, possession or supply of Smoking and Vaping items as well as Banned Items and Substances at school and school-related activities, including processes for searching and removing property.
Administration of Medication Policy
The purpose of this policy is to ensure that students have access to a reasonable standard of support for their health needs whilst attending school or school-based activities

The purpose of this procedure and form is to obtain parental authorisation for the administration of prescribed medication by College staff and to ensure the safe, standardized, and fully documented record of that administration.

Safety Directions Procedure
This procedure describes the process under which the college Co-Principals or Directors of Community Learning Ltd can issue a direction to persons to leave
and/or not (re)enter the school premises.
Enrolment Eligibility and Fees Policy
To provide clear guidelines that ensure Jabiru Community College remains focused on providing education for young people who are disengaged from mainstream schooling due to social, emotional, or behavioral challenges.

The purpose of this policy is to outline the philosophies and process that the college uses to support students who struggle with attendance.

To provide guidelines regarding how the college can provide financial support to students to enable them to engage with curriculum and/or meet their basic necessities.
Acceptable Use of ICT Services Policy
The purpose of this policy is to establish clear expectations and guidelines for the responsible, ethical, and secure use of all ICT resources within Jabiru Community College including school-owned ICT resources as well as personal ICT devices when they are used for school-related activities.
